Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBS) announces the "BIG EVENT" tonight at Ten Pin Alley. The Jamal Crawford Foundation hosts and celebrity friends from the sports, music and the film industry will attend. The public is invited to join special guests at this fundraiser to benefit the youth mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The evening will feature a red carpet entrance, bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, entertainment by DJ Tron of the Urban Legends and appearance by Grammy Award Winning Recording Artists Naughty By Nature.

This annual fundraiser was developed by the Big Brothers Big Sisters Ambassadors, a guild of young professionals that supports the organization through volunteer and fundraising efforts. In order to appeal to a more diverse 25 – 40 year old audience, this "party with a purpose" will be a festive social event geared towards raising awareness of BBBS of Metro Atlanta.

"I am very excited about my first "Big Event" in my new adopted city of Atlanta. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of Hawks fans while raising money for charity. I have come to really appreciate Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta," said Crawford.

"On July 14, 1960, BBBS was officially incorporated here in Atlanta. Since that time we have served more than 50,000 children, "said Janice McKenzie Crayton, President and CEO of the agency. "We see this as a rare opportunity to celebrate, to raise our profile in the community, to recruit more Bigs, to re-engage former Bigs and Littles and to raise significant funds for the agency. We want to conduct a multifaceted celebration that will culminate with our 50th anniversary 2010 Legacy Awards Gala.
